Academia Bembé Fall 2022 Registration
Join us for our Academia Bembé Fall 2022 semester of Afro-Latino drum and dance workshops for youth, teens and adults, performance opportunities, special events and more! Explore Afro-Latino music, dance and cultural traditions taught by Bembé's talented educators, Program and Dance Director Imani Jalil, Musical Director Bony Plog-Benavides, and special guest artist-in-residence Alberto "Beto" Torrens of San Juan, Puerto Rico! Learn rhythms such as Bomba, Plena, Cumbia, Garabato, Mapale, Samba, Rumba, and Salsa and join us for Bembé family nights, community events, holiday celebrations and more!

YOUTH DRUM (AGES 7-9)
Mondays, 5:45-6:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DRUM (AGES 10 & UP)
Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee (Students must attend both days of class)
YOUTH DANCE (AGES 6-9)
Saturdays, 11:30am-12:15pm @ Dance Studio 611, 611 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DANCE (AGES 10 & UP)
Our Academia Bembé Fall 2022 semester for youth and teens will run from September 12th-December 11th, 2022. The total cost for the semester is $150 per student (three months of workshops @ $50/month). Upon registering, you will have the option to pay your tuition in full or make monthly $50 payment installments. We offer a sibling/additional family member discount of only $75 TOTAL tuition ($75 for the full semester) for a second family member’s registration. For families with more than 2 participants registered, the additional tuition will be waived. This includes youth, teen and adult classes. Family memberships will not exceed $225 per family of 2 or more.
