Academia Bembé Spring 2023 Semester Registration
Join us for Academia Bembé's Spring 2023 semester of Afro-Latino drum and dance workshops, performance opportunities, special events and more for youth, teens and adults! Explore Afro-Latino musical, dance and cultural traditions taught by Bembé's artist educators, Program and Dance Director, Imani Jalil and Musical Director, Bony Benavides. Learn rhythms such as Bomba, Plena, Rumba, Cumbia, Samba, Salsa y mas and join us for Bembé family nights, performances, community events, and more! Students who participate in the Spring 2023 semester will also have the opportunity to participate in Bembé's large, annual end-of-year production "Journey the Atlantic / Viajando el Atlántico" at the end of the semester.

YOUTH DRUM (AGES 6-9)
Mondays, 5:45-6:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DRUM (AGES 10 & UP)
Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee
(Students must attend both days of class)
YOUTH DANCE (AGES 6-9)
Saturdays, 11:30am-12:15pm @ Dance Studio 611, 611 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DANCE (AGES 10 & UP)
The Academia Bembé Spring 2023 semester for youth and teens will run from January 9th-April 30th, 2023. The total tuition cost for the full semester is $200 per student. Upon registering, you will have the option to pay your tuition in full or make $50 monthly payment. The initial monthly payment made upon registration then in the first week of February, March and April. We offer a sibling/additional family member discount of only $100 TOTAL tuition (only $100 for the full semester) for a second sibling/family member’s registration. For families with more than 2 participants registered, the additional tuition will be waived. This tuition discount includes youth, teen and adult classes. Family memberships will not exceed $300 per family of 2 or more.
