Academia Bembé's Summer 2023 Session
Join us for Academia Bembé's Summer 2023 session of Afro-Latino drum and dance workshops, performance opportunities, special events and more for youth, teens and adults! Explore Afro-Latino music, dance and cultural traditions taught by Bembé's talented educators, Program and Dance Director Imani Jalil, Musical Director Bony Benavides, and special guests! Learn rhythms such as Bomba, Plena, Rumba, Cumbia, Samba, Salsa y mas and join us for Bembé family and community events, performances, parades and more this summer!

YOUTH DRUM (AGES 6-10)
Mondays, 5:45-6:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DRUM (AGES 11 & UP)
Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm @ Escuela Verde, 3628 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee (Students must attend both days of class)
YOUTH DANCE (AGES 6-10)
Saturdays, 11:30am-12:15pm @ Dance Studio 611, 611 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee
PRE-TEEN/TEEN DANCE (AGES 11 & UP)
Our Academia Bembé Summer 2023 session for youth and teens will run from June 21st-July 29th, 2023. The total cost for the summer session is $60 per student. We offer a sibling/additional family member discount of only $30 TOTAL tuition ($30 for the full session) for a second family member’s registration. For families with more than 2 participants registered, the additional tuition will be waived. This includes youth, teen and adult classes. Family memberships will not exceed $90 per family of 2 or more.
