Bembé Drum and Dance Program at MSIS Upper Campus!
Bembé is excited to return to Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School (Upper Campus) for a six-week session of Afro-Latino drum and dance workshops with MSIS youth! Students will be led in Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba drum and dance workshops with Bembé Program and Dance Director, Imani Jalil, and special guest, Bembé artist-in-residence, Alberto "Beto" Torrens of San Juan, Puerto Rico! Beto is a master percussionist, performer and cultural educator and will be joining Bembé for his third artist residency with us this fall. We are excited for MSIS students to have the opportunity to learn from him! This program is open to all MSIS students in 3rd through 5th grade. All workshops take place on the MSIS-Upper Campus.

Mondays, October 31st-December 5th, 2022
Bembé Drum: Mondays, 4:30-5:15pm
Bembé Dance: Mondays, 4:30-5:15pm
All workshops take place at MSIS Upper Campus. Registration fee for MSIS families is $25.00 for the fall session (6 weeks of workshops).
