Bembé Drum Workshops at Doerfler!
Bembé is excited to begin our first year of programming at Ann F. Doerfler Elementary School! Students will be led in Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba drumming and musical traditions with Bembé's fall artist-in-residence, Alberto "Beto" Torrens of San Juan, Puerto Rico! Beto is a master percussionist, performer and cultural educator and will be joining Bembé for his third artist residency with us this fall. We are excited for Doerfler students to have the opportunity to learn from him! This program is available to all Doerfler students in 4th through 8th grade. Please find more details below.
