Academia Bembe Adult Dance Session with Maestro Beto Torrens: Puerto Rican Bomba and Cuban Rumba
Learn and practice Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba and Afro-Cuban Rumba dance with live musicians, led by master cultural artist, Beto Torrens, (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Open to the community, advanced registration is required. Drop-ins welcome. These workshops are open to adults ages 18+.

Created to pass on Afro-Latino musical traditions directly from cultural elders through oral and cultural praxis, Learning from the Masters brings master artists-in-residence from the African Diaspora to Milwaukee for short and long-term residencies, offering community practice and in-depth learning.
